Cullen/Frost Bankers
Cullen/Frost Bankers is a Texas bank holding company with over $53bn in assets, offering banking, investment and insurance products through more than 200 financial centres statewide.
Cullen/Frost Bankers, the holding company of Frost Bank, is a Texas-based financial institution with more than $53 billion in total assets and a place among the 50 largest banks in the United States. It provides banking, investment and insurance products to individuals and businesses across Texas, serving them through more than 200 financial centres. The company operates in retail and commercial banking, wealth management and investment services, insurance services and customer service operations.
The bank traces its history to 1868, when T.C. Frost opened a small mercantile store in San Antonio. Frost endured the Great Depression, when more than 5,000 American banks failed, and was the only Texas bank to weather the state's banking collapse of the 1980s without federal assistance. It has been ranked highest in Texas for customer satisfaction for 16 consecutive years by J.D. Power, and has recently doubled its presence in Houston and tripled it in Dallas.
Frost describes its guiding philosophy as the belief that "people matter most", a principle it has held for more than 150 years. This is reflected in 24/7 live customer support staffed by real people, without automated phone trees. The firm operates statewide in Texas while continuing to expand its footprint in the state's major markets.
