Boucheron
French luxury Maison founded in 1858, creating fine and high jewelry and watches from Paris; part of the Kering group, with international boutiques and a Place Vendôme flagship.
Boucheron is a French luxury Maison founded in 1858 in Paris, and part of the Kering luxury group. The house designs and produces fine jewelry, high jewelry and watches, combining traditional artisanal craftsmanship with technology applied to jewelry creation. It sells through boutiques and an international online store, with a flagship at 26 Place Vendôme, Paris - established in 1893, when Boucheron became the first of the great contemporary jewelers to open on the square.
The Maison's output spans several lines. Fine jewelry blends traditional skills with modern design; high jewelry reinterprets the house's heritage and explores new forms of preciousness; watch collections are produced by the Maison itself. Among its best-known pieces is the Question Mark necklace, designed in 1879 without a clasp so that it could be fastened unaided - an early instance of the unconventional approach that recurs across its work.
Boucheron operates internationally, with its headquarters and founding city in Paris and boutiques beyond France. The company is led by CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne and Creative Director Claire Choisne, and reports to the wider Kering group structure. Its stated culture emphasises pioneering design, the reinterpretation of heritage and the fusion of inherited skills with emerging technology.
