Research and development is a central part of the group's operations: Sandvik invested 4.6 billion SEK in R&D in 2024 and holds approximately 6,900 active patents. Its stated targets through the business cycle to 2030 are 7% growth and an EBITA margin corridor of 20-22%. Industry verticals served include mining, infrastructure, component manufacturing, manufacturing and machining, and rock processing.
