Motor Oil
Greek energy group and one of Europe's leading petroleum refiners, with refining, fuel retail, power, renewables and mobility operations in Greece and exports to over 75 countries.
Motor Oil is a Greek energy group and one of Europe's leading petroleum refiners. Founded in 1972 and employing approximately 3,500 people, the group refines crude oil and trades petroleum products in Greece and international markets, exporting to more than 75 countries. Its refinery has processing capacity exceeding 200,000 barrels per day, and the Avin and Coral retail networks comprise more than 1,500 fuel stations.
The group's activities extend well beyond refining. Business lines include lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas, power generation and natural gas, electric-vehicle charging, and circular-economy, environmental and mobility services. A renewable energy portfolio of approximately 940 MW of net operating capacity reflects an ongoing shift towards lower-carbon energy. Operating across regulated commodity, retail, power and environmental-services markets in Greece and abroad, the group conducts business in a heavily supervised sector.
Motor Oil states that it holds itself to high standards of business ethics, operates responsibly and prioritises the safety of its people and the development of their capabilities. Its stated aim is to create long-term value for shareholders and society while investing in the transition toward lower-carbon energy.
